For five days before Christmas, Townsville’s major ocean-front area, Strand Park, will be transformed into the historic town of Bethlehem. Here you can interact with Roman soldiers, traditional craftspeople, livestock, shepherds and sheep, wise men and their camels and, of course, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.
The Stage will feature wonderful Christmas entertainment. Many and varied local & guest artists will thrill the audiences using a variety of media – singing, acting, story telling and mime. There will be lots of kids’ activities to keep children busy – face painting, games, dressups, carpentry, weaving, pottery and dancing.
