Cool off this summer in Townsville City Council’s various pools and beaches!
Whether you want to get fit with some serious training or take the family down for a fun day at the beach Townsville City Council has a number of pools, lagoons and beaches open to the public. Charges do apply at our public pools, however entry into the Riverway Lagoons, Strand Waterpark and Rockpool are all free of charge.
Free Swim Day – Sunday 12 April, 9am – 3pm
Grab your togs and goggles and get ready for a fun day at the pools. Entry to Kokoda Memorial Pool, Long Tan Memorial Pool, Northern Beaches Leisure Centre and Tobruk Memorial Baths is free from 9am – 3pm. For further information on any of our swimming facilities visit the pages below;

We had a great day at the Melbourne Cup function, hosted by Riverview Tavern. We weren’t lucky enough to have a win but we did enjoy getting dressed up and heading out of the office for a couple of hours.
