For those of you who don’t know Clint Wallis is taking part in the Spinal Injuries Australia “Take my Seat” challenge on Tuesday 9th of September. Where he will be in a wheel chair for the day chaperoned by one of the Spinal Injuries Australia colleagues. To help raise funds Clint is hosting a ‘Charity Golf Day’ down at the Willows Golf Course Friday 5th of September, now this is not your normal ‘serious’ day of golf.. This is in fact going to be on crazy fun filled day!!
On the day not only will there be a ’18 Hole Ambrose competition with a shot gun start’ there will also be a ‘Putt for Cash’ and a ‘Tee off & Putting challenges’ – all participants will be fined!
Clint is well known across the Townsville region for his remarkable selling skills, mentoring and much more however some of you might not know how much this cause; Spinal Injuries Australia means to him. Clint is an extremely enthusiastic and highly physically motivated person who trains every single day! There is a reason behind his determination and passion towards physical exercise and you are all about to find out why:
“This charity is close to my heart as most people don’t know that I actually had a car accident about 10 years ago where a 19 year old kid jumped the center island of Nathan Street in his car doing about 120kph and landed on the bonnet of my car while I was going 60kph. That accident left me with a full shoulder reconstruction, elbow reconstruction, 2 jaw reconstructions, 2 nose reconstructions, now 4 knee reconstructions, 3 crushed vertebrae, 2 bulging disks. This left me on a walking stick for 18mths and I literally had to learn to walk properly again. It’s been a long road of painful surgery after surgery and Physio till it came out of my ears and I’m just finally getting on top of it. (which is why physical training is so important to me now) This experience gave me a sneak peek and a lot of perspective into what these guys go through on a daily basis so it has inspired me to do my bit this round.” – Clint Wallis
Clint is hoping and will achieve to raise $2,000.00 by next Tuesday the 9th of September for this fantastic cause, if you would like to donate please follow the link below to Clint’s page to make your donation today!
