Jezzine Barracks – Monday 26th January, 6:00am to 12:00pm
Australia Day Celebrations will be held at Townsville’s Jezzine Barracks. It is the perfect location to celebrate Australia Day with an Aussie snag in hand!
Events throughout the day include the Wingate Properties Fun Run and Breakfast, a Citizenship Ceremony, an Australia Day Award Ceremony and a Flag Raising Ceremony.
Other fun activities include Australian Vintage Car Display, free amusements for the kids, an entertainment stage and giant kite displays. There is something for the whole family!
Registration for the Wingate Properties Fun Run is at the Kennedy Regiment Plaza from 6am on the day and is just a gold coin donation with all proceeds donated to charity. Dress in your best Australia Day costume for a chance to win a best dressed prize!

We had a great day at the Melbourne Cup function, hosted by Riverview Tavern. We weren’t lucky enough to have a win but we did enjoy getting dressed up and heading out of the office for a couple of hours.
